UGH

Some days all you can say is UGH and hope that tomorrow brings a better mood.  Today is one of those days.

I have been fighting for people to understand the serious nature of growth hormone deficiency for 20+ years. And it seems as if the general perception is still that growth hormone is just to make kids taller. I have talked to thousands of people; been interviewed by televsion, newspaper and radio reporters in many cities...spoken to medical groups, and groups of parents....and still the lack of understanding prevails. UGH

Hi,

Our son, 2.5 years old, was born with hypopituitarism. He is thyroid and GH deficient. When we tell people that we're giving him GH injections (since he was 18 months old), quite a few of them ask why we do not accept him the way he was meant to be -short! Many people think GHD is all about height. I am already burned out explaining what it actually is.

I have not contacted MAGIC yet. Do you think I should?
